Links to Learning is a creative, practical & dynamic program, facilitating vocational education courses including: Event Management, Fashion Design & Hospitality, for young people: 15-24yr who are at-risk, &/or early school leavers, &/or unemployed.
Our courses (10-15wks) facilitate Information Literacy, Wellbeing & Resilience, as well as specialised Vocational Skills. Our courses are designed to meet participants diverse needs & aspirations to re-engage young people & increase employability &/or education pathways.
Young People engaged in a Links to Learning course experience opportunities to access accredited learning supported by dedicated & experienced youth workers & mentor, within a safe, creative & learner-centred environment. Links to Learning youth workers provide one on one case management, advocacy, referral & support for young people engaged in our courses.
Where possible, we endeavour to integrate BYS Bus transport within our course delivery due to the positive impact upon group dynamics, engagement & attendance we observe among participants.
Links to Learning works collaboratively with the following community partners to 'Link' young people with locally delivered, accredited learning opportunities:

Mind, Body & Soul, ‘Yoway’ Program
Young people participate in a range of wellness experiences including: boxation, yoga, Ayurvedic nutrition workshops & individual consultations, excursions, First Aid & RSA accreditation. Interagency workshops & Guest Mentors share & discuss topics such as: Hep C, substance use, mental health, sexual health women’s health. Weekly group work activities are designed to develop the following interpersonal, learning & work skills: self-esteem, teamwork, communication, information literacy notetaking & research skills; resume & interview skills; brain development & memory skills.
