Project U Turn

uturnlogo_sm copyProject U Turn was funded by a $250,000 grant from the Department of Health and Ageing through the National Binge Drinking Initiative, and finished in May 2012.We had a very busy 2 years raising awareness about the issue of youth binge drinking in the Byron Shire. (Click here to view the Project U Turn video) And have now transitioned our efforts into a new initiative Cringe the Binge. We are actively working with the local community, young people, parents, community drug action groups, teachers, the NSW Fire Brigade, the police, drug and alcohol counsellors and youth workers both in local high schools, at festivals, and out in the community in general to raise awareness about this critical issue.
