Future Forest is an initiative to engage our community with the YAC’s landscape by creating an interactive food forest which will provide nourishment, inspiration and connection to nature while generating a living story of our community captured and shared through video and animation to inspire future generations.

For this project, the Byron Youth Service has teamed up with the Byron Shire Permaculture (BSP) group, who are providing their expertise and enthusiasms to make it a success. The permaculture crew now uses the YAC as a venue for monthly gatherings, workshops and community engagements to promote sustainable ways of living in our community. You can join the BSP meetings at the YAC every 1st Monday of each month from 6:30pm till 8:00pm.

This project is sponsored by the Seaton Foundation who have provided funds to kick start this lush initiative. 

This project will be launched in November 2021.
