Project YES

PROJECT YES delivered resilience-building weekly group activities for young women and those who identify as LGBTIQ+ in the wake of multiple natural disasters and Covid-19 pandemic in the Byron Shire.

The aim of YES is to empower our most at-risk young women to build resilience skills, strengthen mental health and to connect to support networks that can help them reclaim wellbeing and capacity to manage in future disasters.

PROJECT YES is currently being held this term at our other venue The Cottage, Mullumbimby. The program focuses on creating safety for participants through storytelling and meaning making activities.

This term PROJECT YES is collaborating with local Art Therapist Margo Hills to create a safe, empowering, creative and fun space for 10 young participants every Monday.
