Perfect Presence

Perfect Presence is a program funded by the NSW Department of Education. The program aims to get young people re-engaged with school learning, curriculum and community. This is achieved through a creative and engaging project-based learning model. These programs run over 19 weeks at five schools in the Northern Rivers, including : 

Byron Bay High School 

Alstonville High School

Mullumbimby High School

Ballina Coast High School

Evans Head High School

The goals and aspirations of these groups are: 

• Create a stronger sense of belonging and connection to the school, peers and community

• Develop skills to overcome barriers and challenges

• Support students in developing strengths and goals

• Complete a meaningful creative project

• Students commence developing strategies for wellbeing

All five groups participate in creative projects during the program, contracting local creatives from all over the Northern Rivers to mentor them through personal creative projects .

Young people engage in Creative Projects ranging from film, Hip Hop lyric writing, spoken word poetry, Nike Shoe art project, Photography, Jewellery design, Pottery and podcasting.
