The YAC annual Friend Raiser and Mixer 2022

On 10th November 2022 at 6.30pm BYS is hosting a Friend Raiser and mixer for supporters of the service. As many of us have given so much this year the focus is on raising friends over funds.

This event will contribute to the broader BYS fundraising strategy which will seek to raise $100,000 in 2022/23.

What is the money for?

BYS operates on Government funding, philanthropic support and fee for service projects. The fundraising strategy aims to fill a gap in the budget for BYS to be able to continue operating at current levels and service the needs of the community.

Funds are used for:

• Upkeep and maintenance of The YAC which is a Crown Lands License

• Upkeep and maintenance of The War Widows Cottage Mullumbimby, a peppercorn Lease from Byron Shire Council.

• Operational and staffing costs

• Seeding new program areas

• Providing individual supports to young people and families

The event

The Friend Raiser event will be an evening of good food, community connection and musical entertainment. The perfect venue, the right ambience and fun factor!

There will be an art auction and raffles. 

We want the event to be accessible to all so the ticket price will be affordable at $30. This includes drinks, entertainment and an amazing grazing table so you won’t go home hungry.
